Vowel harmony rule

Words with back vowels always receive suffixes with back vowels, while words with front vowels always receive suffixes with front vowels. Words with mixed vowels always receive suffixes with back vowels.

NOTE! Almost all Hungarian suffixes have two versions: one back and one front (depending on the vowel). All Hungarian suffixes are monosyllabic (they have only 1 vowel).
